Patient Information

This section has been written for patients and relatives who would like to find out more about clinical trials. It provides basic information to enable the reader to understand the purpose of clinical trials and what entering a clinical trial involves.

There are many clinical trials in progress across the Arden Network, if you are eligible to enter one of them, your Consultant will discuss this with you. You will then have the opportunity to see one of the Research Nurses. The Research Nurses are available to provide information and support, and to help you to decide whether or not you would like to go into a trial. They will maintain contact with you throughout and following your treatment.
